As a landlord, Michele was constantly frustrated by the lack of communication from her Property Manager. She wondered whether she could do a better job.

Michele started working for a known brand and immediately determined the issue she had experienced as an investor. The Principal of the business was chasing their next sale and just didn’t give the Property Management team the attention it deserved. Essential Property Management was born through that sheer determination to be better and do better and to overcome owner frustration.

Her son Jason joined her in the business in 2011 which saw rapid growth. Jason’s previous customer service experience in hospitality further enhanced Michele’s passion for clear communication with their clients.

In 2015, an opportunity presented itself for Jason to move to Qld and learn all aspects of commercial real estate, but the real opportunity was in him being given the opportunity to run someone else’s business without the security of his Mum being there to identify his mistakes. He was able to learn in real life.

After nearly 4 years as Department Head of a large team across 3 offices, Jason re-joined the family business with a fresh passion for residential real estate and a determination to fulfill his Mum’s dream of creating a multi-generational family brand.
