It is like a small house, with a big yard and at cheap price with high rental income at around $750/week.

Why this renovation occurred?
level 1 is connected with the open area. In December 2023 many days heavy rain water flow into the balcony and accessed to the kitchen. If build a small 5 cm height barrier next to the back yard door, or ask strata to build a barrier in front of door in public area, can block the public area water to access, it just cost a small amount money for this job. In case strata does not agree to build barrier or a slope on public Area, Then build it inside the balcony is workable. But heavy rain like in December rarely happen. To replace by tiles will be better than using carpet to avoid the damage by flooding again.

The proposal to prevent the heavy raining accessing can build the barrier
as the shape in attached photo as a reference, need to be approved by strata.
Or improve the drainage system but need the committee to approve the
