About Chris Hanley - Real Estate Agent
As well as spearheading Byron Shire’s leading real estate agency, Chris Hanley founded one of the world’s leading literary events – They Byron Writers Festival. He is also a highly sought-after conference speaker.
Chris has spent 30 years chairing and participating in Byron Bay community organisations. He is presently chairperson of the Byron Bay Masterplan Group and the Old Byron Hospital Project. He is also the chairperson of the RISE organisation which is a co-op of Australian and New Zealand real estate agencies. This organisation amongst other activities, run an annual conference and have just built and released the REALCARE app, now widely used within the industry to help real estate professionals maintain healthy mental wellbeing.
Chris has been honoured with an Order Of Australia Medal (OAM) for service to literature, and for work within his community. He runs an ethical, sustainable business that employs, trains and retains the best local staff.
