The beautiful seaside town of Kiama is located at the gateway to the scenic South Coast and stretches from the Minnamurra River in the north to Gerroa and Seven Mile Beach in the south and then west to Jamberoo Mountain escarpment.

Though not large in area Kiama has such a diversity of natural treasures it has been a highly sought after residential area for many years, with its green undulating countryside and paddocks separated by dry stone walls, now a trademark of our region.

This small municipality is located just 90 minutes south of Sydney and 30 minutes from the city of Wollongong. Kiama has a population of approximately 21,000 in an area covering 259 square kilometres. 

It is a well-known tourist destination with beautiful beaches and lush countryside. Kiama enjoys a mild climate, with winter temperatures averaging a comfortable 17c to a pleasant 27c average throughout the summer.

Over the past decade it has become popular as a quality non-metropolitan residential area with residents commuting daily to Wollongong or southern Sydney.

Attractions include the famous Kiama Blowhole, the Minnamurra Rainforest, Barren Grounds Nature Reserve and the Jamberoo Recreation Park.
