Lois Buckett Real Estate values the beautiful area in which we operate, and gives back to the community that has supported the business for so long by contributing to a number of local organizations and events:

Lennox Head Public School – The very popular monthly Buckett of Books award has, for each month over ten years, provided a student with the opportunity to obtain a book of their choice, whilst another book is also acquired for the school library. 

The selection process is based on the child having demonstrated respect, responsibility, and integrity during that month. 

Love Lennox Festival – This annual event is not only attended by the locals, but also by surrounding rural communities and many long distance travelers.

Each year Lois Buckett sponsors a particular feature of the festival, and this year’s face painting contribution was a big hit with kids and adults alike.

Bangalow Show – This is probably the prime feature on the Bangalow events calendar and attracts huge crowds to the area over a number of days. Lois Buckett sponsors an aspect of each show such as best cake or jams, dog trials, or ironman competition.

Lennox Head/Alstonville Surf Life Saving Club – The Surf Club has literally hundreds of members.

Many parents donate their time to ensure the success of the various aspects fostered by the organization from water safety training to competition with other surf clubs. 

Lois Buckett has been the principal sponsor of the Surf Club for a number of years, supplying essential rash vests for the kids, team leaders and managers.

Dragon Boating – Money raised from this interesting charity is donated to Breast Cancer research. Lois Buckett has been involved in contributing to the club and competing in the various events.

John Mitchell Golf Day – Each year the proceeds from this event are donated to a local charity or individual (for example a shark attack victim). Lois Buckett has supported this event for a number of years.

Club Lennox – Lois Buckett has been the major sponsor of the local bowling club since its rebirth as a community operated organization.

Lennox Head Community Tree Planting Day – Lois Buckett supplies buckets for watering the new plants on this annual event that seeks to restore the much loved Pat Morton’s Lookout.

Ballina Hospital Auxiliary – Members provide essential services to patients and their families and are supported by Lois Buckett by the donation of raffle prizes upon request.

New Hope School Cambodia –Located near Siem Deap in the Aids prevalent red light district of Mondul Bai, the school has grown from 30 to 800 students, (many of them orphans), and provides a restaurant training facility, clinic and fish farm.

Lois Buckett has assisted the school with donations and sponsors a family of 8 with schooling, supplying of vegetables, medicines, and bikes.

The rebuilding of the family’s thatched pole house has also been funded on two occasions.
