He has sold many multi-million dollar properties throughout Tasmania with the record of the highest price achieved at auction holding strong at $9.3 million. As the state manager of a one of Australia's major rural brands from 1995 until 2009, Michael also held a position during that time as a Director of Patrick Hawkins Melbourne, Victoria's leading Rural/Lifestyle property agency from 2005 – 2009.
