About Mitchell's Realty Hervey Bay - URANGAN

We moved to Hervey Bay in October 2006 after selling our successful specialist freshwater & fly fishing tackle store “The Alpine Angler” in the NSW Snowy Mountains.

We didn’t want to freeze in winter anymore and wanted to enjoy the year round temperate climate and diverse fishing options that Hervey Bay offers and started the catch phrase “How Good Is Hervey Bay”.

Katrina had always been interested in real estate and we had a number of past customers and friends that were real estate agents and principals who offered us advice and suggested they thought it would be a good industry for us both and would allow us to continue working as a husband and wife team.

We were lucky to start our real estate career in Hervey Bay just prior to one of the largest growth spikes in our local residential market which peaked in 2008.

We gained a lot of experience quickly and then got to work in a declining market for the next 4 years which saw many leave the local real estate industry.

We strongly believe in continual learning and have always invested in training with some of our countries highest performing agents and coaches.

After five and half years of running our business under the umbrella of an independent agency we felt ready to establish our own agency and launched Whitney Mitchell Real Estate along with Partners in 2012.

We have now sold out from that company after three and half years in order to launch again as Mitchell’s Realty Hervey Bay from the 5th of January 2016.

Our extensive background in direct marketing from 17 years running our specialised tackle business which had a strong mail order and on-line component has driven us to introduce and provide a level of real estate marketing to Hervey Bay that had previously not been available.

We were the first office to offer high-quality video marketing for selling properties employing PlatiniumHD from the Sunshine Coast.

Nothing drives emotion like high quality video and we have an uncompromising desire to provide our clients with strategic marketing campaigns tailors to their property and needs.
