Phil Lawler- Director of LJ Hooker Muswellbrook, Licenced Real Estate Agent, Stock and Station Agent, Business Agent, Strata Manager and Auctioneer.Real Estate runs through Phil’s veins and there have been few days, if any, that he has not arisen excited about the prospects and challenges of the day before him. He is fascinated by human behaviour and loves dealing with people. Phil was a member of the Muswellbrook Rotary Club for well over 30 years and during that time relished the opportunity to serve both local and international communities. Phil lives a very busy life and any spare time is devoted almost entirely to family, travel and the odd game of Golf or Fishing trip. 1972 – 1982: Phil commenced his career in real estate as a Commonwealth Government Property Officer with the Department of the Interior which later, after several Departmental name changes, became the Australian Property Group.During this period Phil was involved in a vast cross section of property work including· Management of Defence Force Housing· Land acquisition including extensions to the Richmond RAAF Base, Telecom Installations, Defence Force housing accommodation, negotiations with Rail & Road Transport Authorities, Overseas Telecommunications, the ABC and many other Commonwealth Departments.· Leasing programmes ranging from the procurement of Radio/Television Translator Station sites (ABC/Telecom) for the provision of Television and Telecommunications Services throughout remote areas of Western NSW through to high rise office accommodation for the various Commonwealth Departments providing services throughout the state including Sydney’s CBD1982 – 1984: Real Estate Agent concentrating mainly on the management and sale of residential real estate in the inner city suburbs of Paddington, Woollahra,Bondi Junction, Surry Hills and Centennial Park.1984 – 2022: In 1984 Phil returned to his birthplace in the Upper Hunter and purchased LJ Hooker Muswellbrook where he has been a principal and the Licensee-in-Charge ever since. Over the years he has developed an intricate knowledge of all facets of real estate within the Upper Hunter and has achieved at the highest of levels in residential, rural, commercial and industrial sales and leasing. Over these years he has been instrumental in the building of a large property management portfolio.
