As part of the proposed window works at 109 High Street, Preston, the following approach will be taken to retain or replicate heritage features: Architraves (Interior): The decorative timber architraves surrounding the window (two sides and top) will be carefully removed, cleaned, and reinstalled on the new windows. If the existing architraves are determined to be original and not readily available as an off-the-shelf profile, they will be custom-machined to replicate the existing profile and reinstalled like-for-like. Window Nosing (Interior): The internal window nosing will be removed and replaced like-for-like. Due to the nature of installation, it may not be possible to remove the nosing in a single piece; however, efforts will be made to match the profile and material exactly. Window Hardware (Interior): Existing internal window hardware will be carefully removed and restored.
