Remove one (1) Cupressus sempervirens, Mediterranean Cypress, from the front yard adjacent to the front boundary and replace with one (1) small-sized local native tree from Council’s Development Control Plan 2022, Annexure B3-2 Tree Canopy Replacement Planting List, of minimum 45L pot size, anywhere on the property, within one (1) month of removal. This tree is in fair health, it has low landscape and retention value, it also contributes minimally to local biodiversity, habitat and environmental amenity. The branches on the western side of its canopy are impacting the garage roof, to remove them would compromise the tree's natural shape. This tree is also planted in an unsustainable location; in a shallow garden bed with limited soil volume, behind a cracked retaining wall. To repair the wall could destabilise the tree, its removal is recommended to facilitate the repair works.
