About Randal Wilson - Real Estate Agent

Randal has enjoyed a stellar career that is now in its fourth decade and he is considered one of the most experienced and successful realtors in the country.

After completing high school at St Columbans in 1980, he started his Real Estate Sales career leasing industrial property for Scan Real Estate in Brisbane, Queensland. 

It became immediately apparent that Randal had a natural skill in sales, marketing and mutual client and business negotiations. 

During the 1980’s he enjoyed tremendous success at Richard Ellis and Ray White Project Marketing, overseeing the sale of over $600 million worth of projects – his largest client being Ariadne, a large high profile Australian publicly listed company.

​Randal was also instrumental in negotiating the successful sale of several iconic real estate parcels to foreign companies looking to invest on Queensland’s Gold Coast. 

After a market correction in the early 90s, Randal shifted focus from large corporate $50 million plus transactions to much smaller land projects.

​He joined the significant private land development firm QM Properties and ran their international marketing division for 10 years through to 2000. 

In that time, Randal created and nurtured multiple distribution channels via a network of relationships throughout Asia. 

This was a mutually beneficial relationship which procured many millions of dollars of foreign investment into the country.

​In the mid 1990’s Randal established a strategic alliance between QM Properties and Dixon Homes, a large iconic Australian builder.

These companies went on to develop, sell and build hundreds of house and land packages for owner occupiers and investors alike.

Randal linked QM Properties in with the ‘Unilodge’ student accommodation apartments which resulted in over 1,000 transactions over 3 projects located in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

​In the early 2000’s, Randal started working closely with Lachlan McIntosh from Korda Mentha (QLD) – now FTI Consulting. He provided FTI Consulting with numerous introductions for major corporate recovery work. 

He was required to provide a sales and marketing solution for these opportunistic acquisitions, often involving publicly listed companies.

​A recent acquisition example was the ‘Evvien’ Residential project at Everton Park in Brisbane’s inner Northern suburbs.

The builder / developer was in difficulty with their financiers and Randal negotiated with FTI Consulting to take over the debt. 

Randal and his team then re-organised and restructured the development which resulted in the sale, construction, settlement and ongoing management of the remaining 75 apartments plus the balance of the site approved for another 115 apartments. 

Investors in this project received a 40% + internal rate of return and all the buyers are now enjoying an excellent facility that is fully functioning, fully occupied and professionally managed.

Randal is, foremost, a dedicated husband to Tracy of 28 years and father to his 3 sons. He also has a very strong network of proactive friendships that he continues to cultivate.

 During the 2011 Brisbane floods, Randal was on the committee of Brisbane Basketball at Auchenflower in which he was heavily involved with raising of over a million dollars, from government and commercial businesses, for the refurbishment and re-establishment of the facility in a timely and professional fashion.
