Romany's passion for her craft is complemented by a deeply personal commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community and support for the arts, youth communities and mental health causes. These are reflected by the robust list of high-profile charity auctions she calls each year, which include the NIDA Chairman's Dinner, Sydney Dance Company's Dance Noir and fundraisers for The Australian Children’s Music Foundation and The Aurora Education Foundation, among others. With a childhood steeped in serving her community - her mother raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local causes in her time - it's not surprising that Romany's as committed and community-minded as she is. • Working extensively within the LGBTIQ community, Romany is an accomplished charity auctioneer and has raised over half a million dollars for Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, Australia’s oldest HIV charity, as well as sitting on its board.
• Romany was the charity auctioneer at the first LGBTIQ event at Parliament House for raising money for marriage equality as part of the Sydney Mardi Gras 2014.
• She has also worked with the Walk to Cure Cancer Auction, The Aurora Ball and the Lilias Project.
