About Sean Sulistio - Real Estate Agent
Sean is a savvy investor who has had wide-ranging experiences in several industries from Broadcast Engineering, to the Australian Army, Sales, Property Management, Property Development and Real Estate.
Sean started his investment journey in his early 20s when he started purchasing properties as an apprentice in an area called Mt Druitt and Penrith NSW, when those houses were around $200k each. From there, he continued to buy “cheapies” and added granny flats to some for a build and hold strategy. He then relocated to Townsville for work while continuing to invest in property there, and then finally relocated to the Sunshine Coast where he currently resides and works in property development full time. Sean has successfully completed multiple renovations, subdivisons, duplex builds, rooming house builds and conversions, rent to buy deals and head lease / sublease properties
After having been disappointed with costs in the thousands of dollars with other property manager’s not doing a good job at managing their properties, he and his wife May decided to manage their own properties. From there, he started to do Co-Living Property and set up his own properties for multiple streams of income. Other investors then asked if Sean and May could help them do the same with their properties hence the beginning of Start Small Property.
Sean’s success and reputation come from understanding what investors are looking for in the property investment space and providing an honest view on what is the best and highest use of clients investment properties. Just because you can do Co-Living, doesn’t mean you should!
He is also passionate to ensure that his team is trained so that their clients properties are designed, setup and managed to the same expectation that he expects for their own properties and that his staff are happy.
Sean continues to learn, grow and evolve with multiple coaches in the property development space, who have done much larger multi-million dollar projects in commercial and industrial property to aid with his own property development journey.
Outside the office, Sean enjoys a fulfilling family life as a husband with his wife May, father to a boy and a girl, and their much-loved poodle and guinea pigs. Other hobbies include spending time in his workshop working on project cars, electronic repairs and computers, DJing, bushwalking, working out at the gym and having a beer with mates
