Timing is everything: we opened Teska Carson in 1990, just in time for the worst recession since the Great Depression.

As corporate balance sheets ballooned, the boom in commercial property turned to bust. The multi-national agencies shuddered and shed staff while our two partners started hiring to handle the work.

The first properties we negotiated were in shopping strips. We sought to earn the trust of savvy, self-made men and women by proving ourselves on the projects no-one else cared about.

The legacy of the relationships we formed then is an enviable clientele of Melbourne’s most powerful investors.

From this university of adversity, we learned the lessons that have seen us grow into Melbourne’s largest privately owned commercial agency with an unsurpassed array of services, 60 outstanding staff members and a $6 billion portfolio of prime commercial assets under management, extending right across greater Melbourne.

What we learned over that time is to treat every single deal – no matter how large or small – with the same diligence, creativity, focus and efficiency.
