About Jo Pruss - Real Estate Agent
Jo has lived and worked all over the world, however once having experienced the beauty of Noosa it became quite clear to her that there would be no further travels. Long-term locals may argue the length of time until you are classed as one of their own, so having moved to the area in 2005, Jo believes she may almost be one.
After leaving university in Cape Town, Jo developed her commercial skills by living and working in the United Kingdom, South Africa, the Netherlands and most recently, before moving to Australia, in Silicon Valley, California.
On arrival on the Sunshine Coast, Jo allowed her passion for real estate to flourish by initially becoming a local home owner and property investor, then moving into administration, marketing and sales with a well-known local international franchise. A highly valued member of the team, her enthusiastic personality, determination, and keen eye for detail reaped rewards for those entrusting the sale of their home to her care.
Throughout her time at the agency, and being an investor herself, Jo honed her skills and in doing so realised that she had a genuine passion for property management, recognising that it is an area that has been long overlooked by many professionals in the industry. To this end Jo discovered an empathy with the drivers of the Living Here franchise brand, not only the board and executive management team who have similar goals and passion for property management excellence, but their aspiration to develop a long term relationship with clients based on integrity, transparency and a dedicated commitment to continual improvement.
After four years of partnership with the Living Here Group, Jo moved away from the franchise model and rebranded to 6 Star Property Management. Jo saw this as the ideal opportunity to develop stronger relationships with local property owners and tenants coupled with providing an unparalleled level of service. Jo enjoyed several successful years with 6 Star Property Management, leading it through the ever-changing legislative landscape of the Covid period and ensuing challenges of the local housing crisis.
Noosa Rentals is the culmination of Jo's love for both the property management industry and the Noosa area. Jo chose the Noosa Rentals mantra "Love where you live" to reflect her commitment to both her clients and the community she loves.
In rugby season and for several months either side of it you will find Jo down at the Noosa Dolphins Rugby Union club, where she has been a parent, member and supporter for many years. She is currently the senior registrar and a passionate advocate for country rugby at any level. When not pacing up and down the sideline cheering on her "Phins", Jo can also be found strolling along the Noosa River or enjoying a glass of wine and some people watching on Gympie Terrace or Hastings Street - what's there not to love about that in Noosa too!
