About Stephen Townsend - Real Estate Agent

Having lived in Orange since 1983, I consider Orange my home town. Leaving Sydney as a 16 year old Jackaroo I worked for a large Pastoral Company on "Rushy Lagoon" in Tasmania which in those days was over 120,000 acres running sheep and cattle. I spent my days chasing cattle on horseback and as a 16 year old kid was just day after day of hard, fun work. "Buddah" at Narromine and "Meteor Downs" at Springsure in Queensland came next where both properties grew summer and winter crops and I spent my day burning diesel on either a D8 bulldozer or Steiger tractor, once again long, hard hours and loving every minute of it!.

I commenced my agency career, working for Elders in Tamworth & Armidale before moving to Orange.

I have over 25 years' experience in the real estate industry having first cut my teeth in residential sales and later working for David Williams, one of the Central Tablelands most well-known and respected Stock & Station Agent who specialised in rural and lifestyle properties.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm not afraid of a yarn and love spending my time driving around in the bush than being stuck behind a desk but that just comes with the territory and age!

The opportunity arose to jump on board with Nelly and his Ray White Rural ship.Over the years I might have made some dubious business and personal desicions; joining Ray White is not one of those! In fact it is probably one of the wisest (thanks to Kaths insistance). The crew that Kath and I have managed to put together makes us truly proud & thankful. From Blayney, through Orange and out to Molong every one of the nineteen of us are all on the same side of the fence.
