Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use RealSearch. This page says what we have done, what we have not, and how to tell us about a problem.

What we have done

What is built to be accessible?

The newer parts of the site were built to work with a keyboard and a screen reader.

  • The main menu, the footer and the calculators work with a keyboard.
  • Boxes have labels, and a problem with what you typed is shown next to the box.
  • The pages work on a phone, and on a wide screen.
  • Links and buttons show where the keyboard focus is.

What is not there yet

What still needs work?

Some older parts of the site have not been checked.

  • The map and the 3D views are visual and may not work well with a screen reader.
  • Some older pages may not meet the standard we aim for.
  • Images from agencies may not have a description.

Tell us about a problem

What if I cannot use something?

Tell us, and we will try to fix it.

  • Contact us with the address of the page and what you could not do.
  • Say what device or assistive technology you use, if you can.
