How AI is used on RealSearch
Reviewed by Rama Dwarapudi on .
RealSearch uses artificial intelligence (AI) in a few places. This page says where, what it can get wrong, and how to check it.
Where AI is used
Where do I see AI on the site?
AI is used in the assistant, in some summaries and in automated estimates.
- The assistant answers questions you type about suburbs and properties.
- Some suburb information and property summaries are written with the help of AI.
- Some figures, such as a value estimate for an address, are worked out by a computer.
How the assistant answers
How does the assistant work out its answers?
It uses our own data first, and the web for what we do not hold.
- For questions about a suburb or a property, it starts with the data we hold.
- If we do not hold the answer, it may search the web, and it should say so.
- It should say when it does not know.
What AI can get wrong
Can I trust it?
AI can make mistakes, and sound sure when it is wrong.
- Check anything important against the official source or with the agency.
- An estimate is not a valuation, a price or an offer.
- AI is not financial, legal or tax advice. Speak to a licensed professional before you decide.
What you type
What happens to my questions?
What you type into the assistant is sent to an AI service so it can answer.
- Do not type anything private that you would not want a service provider to see, such as bank details or passwords.
- The calculators are different: they run in your browser and keep and send nothing.
