Like a fine wine, some things get better with age. You'll soon see this is the case with this exquisitely renovated Spanish-style residence which oozes character and old-world charm. Boasting a rarely seen tennis court right on the wide water's edge and painstakingly restored classic period features throughout, this is a home which makes you feel like you've stepped back in time to a grand era of living and entertaining.
The tones of romance, beauty and intrigue are set from the minute you arrive, with a sweeping wrought-iron and timber staircase in the distinguished foyer, nestled beneath a soaring 5.3m ceiling. Light cascades in from the arched windows above, glinting off the crystal of the chandeliers, while beyond, warm and elegant living spaces beckon you in. There's room enough for a grand piano and a full-size pool table, as well as a working fireplace to gather around on the cooler winter nights with something warming to drink - served from your very own beautifully restored James Bond-style bar. The home whispers of days gone by, when entertaining was an art form, too. Imagine long summer weekends spent with family and friends, enjoying the captivating river views and cool breeze from the balcony. Multiple living areas can accommodate a large family gathering or simply soak up the tranquillity all to yourself. Take a dip in the pool or relax in the shaded jacuzzi, then head to the hot-coal sauna for some purification, before it's time for sundowners overlooking the sweeping water views.
