The home was built by Dr C.U.D. Schrader in 1882, where he practised medicine for the following decade. In 1891, he sold "Anglea House" to Mrs L.A. In 1975, the home was sold to Mr Baker and later that same year to Mr and Mrs Tony Elder, who changed the name back to "Anglea House" and have remained the owners ever since.
